- The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA 2023) registration process has started. Aspiring candidates can register themselves on the official website of TNEA, tneaonline.org.
- The registration process commenced on May 5, the same day as last year when TN 12th results were announced.
- The eligibility criteria for BTech counselling requires general category candidates to score a minimum of 45% in Class 12, while OBC, SC, ST, and others must secure a minimum of 40% from a recognized board.
- Approximately 1.5 lakh engineering seats will be offered by a total of 440 engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu.
- The TNEA cut-off 2023 will be determined based on the number of available seats, past trends, and the performance of students in the Class 12 exams conducted by Tamil Nadu DGE.

TNEA 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are advised to check their TNEA Eligibility Criteria before applying for the entrance exam. Must check the below-mentioned information regarding the eligibility criteria:
- Applicants who clear their 8,9,10,11 and 12 examinations from any Tamil Nadu situated school are eligible.
- Those who have passed any of the 8,9,10,11 and 12 class or their equivalent examination from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply, but they need to submit the original nativity Certificate.
- If candidates parents are in the All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply.

TNEA 2023 Result

TNEA 2023 Merit List
TNEA 2023 Merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the relevant subjects, namely, Maths, Physics, and Chemistry which can be reduced to 200 (Maths – 100, Physics – 50, and Chemistry – 50). TNEA 2023 Counselling
Aspirants who will secure their names in the merit list will be invited to attend
Tamil Nadu Engineering counselling 2023. Anna University will manage the entire counselling process. Aspirants have to report on a given date and time.
- Those who will not appear on the prescribed date and time will not get a further chance for admission.
- The admission to any individual will be based on his/her percentage in the qualifying exam, rank in the merit list, and seat availability.
- However, the decision of the competent authority in respect of admission will be final. Aspirants need to produce the original documents to the TNEA Facilitation Center (TFC) for verification.

TNEA 2023 Selection Process

- The entire admission process of TNEA 2023 will be done through the counselling which will be based on the marks obtained by the aspirants in class 12th or equivalent.
- The authority will publish a rank list of the aspirants selected for counselling on its official website. Then the aspirants will be sorted into groups and will go through the choice locking process to choose their preferred college and branch.
- Seat allotment will depend on the rank and the order of preference of the choices made by the aspirants. Therefore, choosing the right choices and ordering them properly is important.
