TS ECET 2023 Eligibility Criteria: Who can Apply for the Exam?

The eligibility criteria for TS ECET 2023 are as follows:

• Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
• Educational Qualification: The candidate must have a diploma in engineering/technology/pharmacy or B.Sc degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
• Minimum Marks: The candidate must have secured a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in the qualifying examination.
• Domicile: The candidate must belong to the state of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.
• Age Limit: There is no age limit to apply for the exam.

Note: Candidates who are pursuing their qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for TS ECET 2023, but they must have passed the examination at the time of counseling.

TS ECET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

General Criteria

• Nationality: Candidate should be an Indian Citizen.
• Domicile: Candidate should be a resident of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh. Candidate must satisfy all local and non-local status requirements as specified. 

Age Criteria

Candidate should be minimum of 18 years of age. There is no upper age limit specified.

Education Qualification

• Candidates must have a Diploma in Engineering/Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh or any other Diploma relevant for admission in B.E. / B. Tech./ B. Pharmacy Courses.
• OR  Candidates must have passed the 3-year B.Sc. Degree examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the group combination from a recognized University in the Telangana/Andhra Pradesh state or its equivalent for entry into relevant courses.
• Candidates who are pursuing a Diploma under a sandwich pattern shall be eligible for B.E./B.Tech./B. Pharmacy courses provided they must ensure that their practical training is finished by the date of counselling.
• Candidates should have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology / Pharmacy/ B.Sc (Mathematics) Degree with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) for admission into relevant courses.

Branch wise eligibility for TS ECET papers

Qualifying Marks

• Qualifying Marks for obtaining a rank in TS ECET 2023 is 25% aggregate marks in the four subjects, i.e. 50 marks out of total 200.
• For SC/ST candidates, there are no minimum qualifying marks. 

TS ECET 2023 Reservation

Admission in 85% seats is reserved for local candidates and the rest of the 15% seats shall be filled as per guidelines of Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions). Candidates can check the percentage of seats that each category can compete on is given below:

TS ECET 2023 Application Form

TS ECET 2023 Application Form will be out in March 2023 tentatively by JNTU, Hyderabad on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education. Candidates can fill the form from the official website of the conducting authority. Only candidates that are eligible in all the criteria can apply or else the application will be rejected. Candidates have to carry a print out of filled application form during the admission process.
