VVET 2022 Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility criteria for VVET Ph.D. admission in 2022:
Eligibility Criteria for Vidyavaridhi Entrance Test in Shastra 2022
Candidates must meet the following basic standards in order to be admitted to Shastra.
- Should have received an Acharya/M.A. (Sanskrit) or equivalent degree (Sanskrit) from a recognized board/university with a minimum of 55 percent in aggregate. Candidates from the SC/ST/OBC(Non-Creamy Layer)/Person with Disabilities (PwD) categories will receive a 5% mark relaxation.
- Candidates who have taken the Acharya/M.A(Sanskrit)/equivalent degree (Sanskrit) but have yet to get their results are also allowed to apply on a provisional basis.
Eligibility for Foreign candidates
Foreign candidates who have completed an Acharya/M.A. (Sanskrit)/equivalent degree (Sanskrit) from a university outside India with a minimum of 55 percent in aggregate can apply for the VVET through the Ministry of External Affairs or the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
Vidyavaridhi Entrance Test in Education Eligibility Criteria 2022
Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. education program must meet the following basic requirements:
- Shiksha Acharya (M.Ed.) or Acharya/M.A(Sanskrit)/equivalent degree (Sanskrit) with at least 55 percent marks and P.G. Degree in Education with at least 55 percent marks are required. SC/ST/OBC(Non-Creamy Layer)/Person with Disabilities (PwD) categories, with a minimum of 50% marks in Shiksha Acharya (M.Ed.) or Acharya/M.A(Sanskrit)/equivalent degree (Sanskrit) with 50% marks and a P.G. Degree in Education.
- Those who took the above-mentioned degree test but have yet to receive their results are eligible to apply on the condition that they submit their market before being admitted.
Eligibility for Foreign candidates
Applicants who have completed an Acharya/M.A. (Sanskrit)/equivalent degree (Sanskrit) with a minimum of 55 percent in the aggregate from any university outside India, as well as a P.G. Degree in Education with a minimum of 55 percent, can also apply for the entrance test through the Ministry of External Affairs or the Ministry of Human Resource, Government of India.
Exemption from VVET 2022
Candidates who have passed the Vishishtacharya (M.Phil), cleared the JRF, and been awarded a National Fellowship (NF) are exempted from the Vidyavaridhi Entrance Test. However, they must complete the online application form and pay the price.

- Applicants must obtain their entry ticket solely from the official website.
