WBJEE JELET Reservation 2023
The candidates can check WBJEE JELET 2023 seat reservation criteria below in the given points:
For SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD, applicable Acts/Rules of the Government of West Bengal prevailing at the time of admission will be followed.
However, availability of such reserve category seats shall be restricted to the candidates domiciled in West Bengal only.
For PwD (persons with disability) candidates the horizontal reservation criteria will be applied, the selected candidates will be placed in the General/SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B category to which he/she belongs.

Eligibility Criteria for application:
The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
Age Restriction: There is no upper age limit for the Diploma holders in Pharmacy/ Technology/ Engineering. Whereas for the candidates who have done B.Sc, the upper age limit is 27 years as on 31 December 2023 and for Diploma holders in Marine Engineering, it is 25 years as on 31 December 2023.
Eligibility Criteria for admission:
For Diploma Holders: Must have done Diploma in the relevant branch having a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ ST/ PwD candidates)
For B.Sc. candidates: Must have completed their B.Sc degree from any UGC recognized University having a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ ST/ PwD candidates). They must have cleared 10+2 with Mathematics subject.
Diploma Holders, as well as B.Sc candidates who wish to seek admission into Engineering and Technology Degree course, will also be eligible for First-year Engineering Degree courses in case there is no vacancy for lateral entry at second year having at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ ST/ PwD candidates).
Diploma Holders in Pharmacy who wish to seek admission in any Degree course in Pharmacy for admission in First year Degree course in case there is no vacancy for lateral entry at second year.

About WBJEEB
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) was formulated in the year 1962 by the Government of West Bengal. The motive behind this was to conduct the Joint Entrance Examination for admission to various institutions in West Bengal imparting education in medical, engineering and technological courses. The Board is empowered to conduct common, combined, competitive, entrance examinations for admission to the undergraduate professional and vocational courses in any College or any University in the State of West Bengal.
