YSP Admission 2023 will be conducted by Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry. It is a State University that was established on 1 December 1985. The YSP Entrance Test is a university-level examination that is organized to offer admission to UG, PG in MSc./MBA, and PhD courses. Candidates can fill out the application form online mode. YSP Admission 2023 Application Form
The application form for applying to the YSP 2023 examination shall be available on the official website of the university. The following is the procedure to fill the application form:
- The candidates have to visit the official website and click on apply for UG, PG and MBA programs.
- The candidates have to register on the website
- This will give them a unique application number and login credentials.
- The candidates have to log in and fill in the details in the application form.
- Scanned copies of the candidate’s photograph and signature must be uploaded.
- Once the application is filled, the candidates have to pay the application fee.
- The application fee category wise is given below and it can be paid via. net banking, credit or debit cards.
- The filled application form must be preserved for future references.
YSP University Admission 2023 Application Fee
The application for each category is split as mentioned below:
For UG courses:
- Application fee for candidates of general category – Rs.1500
- Application fee for candidates of SC/ST/PH category - Rs.1000
For PG courses:
- Application fee for candidates of general category – Rs.1500
- Application fee for candidates of SC/ST/PH category – Rs.1000
For MBA programs:
- Application fee for the candidates of general category – Rs.1500
- Application fee for candidates of SC/ST/PH category – Rs.1000
YSP 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates applying for YSP 2023 must be familiar with the eligibility criteria to be satisfied by them to apply for the examination. The candidates can go through the following criteria for various courses:

MBA PROGRAMS | Candidates applying for MBA (Agribusiness) must have completed B.Sc Agricultural Sciences with a minimum CGPA of 5.5/10 or 55% or B grade (or equivalent for foreign universities). YSP Admission 2023 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern for each course is different and is mostly dependent on the subjects at the eligibility level. The pattern for each examination is given below:
FOR UG:
- Total number of questions: 100 questions
- Subject wise division: 30 each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology and 10 questions based on general awareness related to agriculture.
- Duration of the exam: The exam shall be conducted for a duration of 2 hours
- Total marks: The total marks shall be 100.
FOR PG:
- Exam conducted for: This exam shall be conducted commonly to candidates appearing for PG (M.Sc) and MBA (Agribusiness).
- Several sections: The paper shall have 3 parts of which part- I and part- II are common to all. Part- III shall be optional depending on the qualifying degree.
- Division of questions:
Part – I: 20 questions on general knowledge
Part – II: 20 questions on rural awareness
Part – III: 60 questions on specialization (optional)
- Tentative venue: This exam would be conducted on the main campus of the university.
FOR MBA:
- Qualifying examination: The candidates must appear in the HP-CMAT examination conducted by the Himachal Pradesh board and then apply separately to this university for admissions.
YSP Admission 2023 Syllabus
The candidates are advised to go through the syllabus for a clearer idea about the examination. The syllabus is as below:
- The syllabus for the examination would essentially consist of the subjects in the qualifying degree except for MBA.
- Candidates applying to UG courses are advised to refer the subjects in the 10+2 degree and the standard textbooks used.
- Candidates who have applied for MBA at YSP University in streams other than Agribusiness are advised to go through the syllabus of HP-CMAT.
YSP 2023 Admit Card
The admit card is the final proof from the candidate's side that he has applied to the examination. Following are a few points about the YSP 2023 admit card that needs to be kept in mind.
- The YSP University shall make admit cards available on their official website.
- Candidates who have completed the admission process only shall get the admit card.
- The admit card must be downloaded from the official website and must be kept safe.
- It would contain details like – exam centre, date and venue of the examination, identification details of the candidate, etc.
- The candidates are required to log in using the e-mail and password on the official website to download the admit card for YSP 2023.
YSP Admission 2023 Result
The results of the admission test of Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar (YSP) University shall be made available on the official website. The results shall be given in the form of a PDF and candidates are required to check from the same.

Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry was established in the year 1965. It is a Government institution situated in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The university offers various programs in the disciplines of forestry, horticulture and allied sciences. The university currently has three colleges based in Hamirpur and Solan.
