It was established in the year 2006 by the Bihar Government (Bihar Act 24 of 2006) as a public university dedicated to the field of legal education. CNLU Admission 2023 in CNLU is based on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) examination for the UG course and research program. For the Doctorate course, there is another entrance exam.

CNLU Admission 2023 for Undergraduate Courses
The university offers B.An LLB and BBA LLB courses at Bachelor’s level. Admissions to the University are made based on CLAT (Common Law Admission Test). Given below are the eligibility criteria for the Chanakya National Law University UG courses.

- Applicants must not be more than 22 years of age as of 1st July in the case of SC/ST/ OBC/Differently Abled Persons (DAP) category candidates.

CNLU Admission 2023 for Doctorate Courses
CNLU Patna offers LLD and Ph.D. courses at the Doctorate level. The university releases the application form in January every year. The application procedure for admission to these courses is online. The mode of admission to these courses is through the entrance exam (Ph.D. Entrance Test). Selection is made strictly based on merit in the entrance exam.
