Kerala University of Fisheries & Ocean Studies Koch is known as (KUFOS Kochi). KUFOS Kochi was established 20th November 2010. The College of Fisheries, founded in the year 1979, was a constituent college of the Kerala Agricultural University. KUFOS is the first University in India exclusively dedicated to studies in fisheries and allied disciplines. The University was formally inaugurated and dedicated to the nation in a function held at the campus of the College of Fisheries, Panangad, on 20 February 2011. The total land area is 69.10 acres. KUFOS Kochi provides admission to various UG, PG courses like M.SC, B.SC, MBA/PGDM, ME/M.TECH, LLM, M.SC (AGRICULTURE), BE/B.TECH for various streams on yearly/Semeter. The exam for these courses are conducted in semester pattern. The result is declared on the university website. The admission to various courses is based on the basis of the entrance exam.
