Sardar Patel University is public state university located in Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujrat, India. Established in December 1955 by the Act of Legislative Assembly and was UGC recognised under 2(f) of the UGC Act in October 1968. Goal of University is to serve the rural population by providing them with access to higher education, with the motto of "Excellence Matters". The university provide education in the field of mordern global development of Indian rural life by providing various courses of study and research in all disciplines. Pollution free, lush green, environment friendly university campus spread over total land mass of 86 acres with a main campus and 4 satellite campus.

Sardar Patel University Vallabh Vidyanagar offers M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses in various fields of higher studies and research. Admission in M.Phil. and Ph.D. are done on the basis of entrance exams. In Ph.D. program total 318 seats are offered by the university.
The candidates who qualified UGC NET/ UGC- CSIR / SLET / JRF are exempted from entrance test, they need to fill up seprate form for Ph.D. admission.

The Sardar Patel University Vallabh Vidyanagar offers online application form to the candidates on the official website of the University.
- For online application form visit official website of the university and go to the admission page.
- Click on the link available on website for the application form and next click on Apply Now.
- First register yourself and then fill the application details.
- Then click on Save and Proceed then you will recieve Application number and Password on your registered mobile number.
- Then go to application form page Login with your given Application number and Password fill the application form then click on Save and Exit.
- Next submit your application form and pay the online application fee of INR 150 via credit card/debit card/net banking.
- Then click on Online Receipt to get the payment receipt of your application form.
