WUD or the World University of Design Sonepat is a private university. The university was established in 2018 through the Haryana Private Universities (Second Amendment) Act 2017 and is located in Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Sonipat, Haryana. It claims to be "India's first and only university dedicated to education in the creative domain. It occupies over 12 acres (5.3 ha) area in Sonipat. The campus provides hostel rooms to girls on-campus and to boys off-campus. WUD recognizes the potential of design in every field and hence offers the most diverse choices in creative careers so far offered in any institution in India. It has a campus solely dedicated to creative education and thereby offers maximum exposure of creative opportunities with trans-disciplinary learning and the availability of like-minded people around all the time. It is the first Indian university of design.

- The final selection will be based on the performance in Entrance Test (40% weightage) and presentation/Interview (60% weightage).
- The candidate must score a minimum of 50% marks in the WUD entrance test to be eligible to appear for the interview.
NOTE - Candidates who have cleared tests like UGC/CSIR NET, DBT (JRF), ICMR, DST (INSPIRE), etc. or any other University’s PhD or equivalent entrance test will directly be eligible for interview.
WUD Sonepat Admission 2023 Counselling
The candidates will have to go through the counselling process to take the admission in World University of Design Sonipat Haryana. The details of the same are mentioned below in the given points:
- The merit list will be prepared by the authority based on the marks of the qualifying degree and any national level test score or university exam score.
- The applicants will have to carry the original documents of the qualifying degree along with the filled-in application form to the counselling venue for the verification process. The documents required are xerox copy of the application form, 10th and 12th marksheets, admit card, degree courses certificates, etc.
- The candiadtes will have to appear in a personal interview conducted by the authority. The interview panel will ask questions related to the field of study selected by the applicant.
- Also, aspirants will have to submit a counselling fee.
- Successful candidates will be made an offer to join WUD. The offer will be sent via an email.
