CCMT 2022 Counselling: Full Procedure, Documents Required, Seat Allocation

The CCMT 2022 Counselling will commence soon. CCMT (Centralized Counselling for MTech / MArch/ MPlan) is an online admission and counselling process for admissions to MTech / MArch/ MPlan programmes offered by National Institutes of Technologies (NITs) IEST Shibpur, eight Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology (NIFFT) Ranchi, School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada, University of Hyderabad, Central University of Rajasthan, and Sant Long

CCMT 2022 is being organised by the Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) in Jaipur. Candidates who qualified for GATE in 2020/2021/2022 are eligible to participate in the counselling process.

CCMT 2022 Counselling

The five stages of the CCMT counselling process are as follows:

  • Stage 1: Online registration, filling out choices, and locking
    All qualified candidates must register on the CCMT website and pay the required registration cost. The registration fee for OC/OB is Rs 2500 and for SC/ST/PwD is Rs 2000.
  • Stage 2: Online seat assignment and payment of the seat acceptance cost
    Candidates will be given seats based on merit and in the order of their preferences. To obtain their seat assignment letters, candidates must go to the official website. To confirm/book the given seat, candidates must pay a seat acceptance fee of Rs 30,000.
  • Stage 3: Upload documents online and indicate your desire to participate. Candidates must upload the needed documentation on the official website after receiving a seat and paying the seat acceptance fee. When reporting to the RC, candidates must demonstrate one of the following willingness:
  • Floating: if they want all of their higher favored choices to be considered in the next round.
  • Sliding scale: if they just want to be considered for the following round for their higher preferred options within the Institute that has been assigned to them.
  • Freezing: if they are content with the seat they have been assigned and are not interested in their higher-priority choices in the next round.
  • Stage 4: Document verification through the internet
    The verifying officer of the relevant designated institute will undertake the document verification online alone.
  • Stage 5: Acceptance into the institute to which you have been assigned.
    Candidates must pay the rest admission fee to the relevant Institute in an online manner after successful online document verification by the finally allotted institute.

GATE CCMT Counselling - Type of Fees

Candidates will be required to deposit the following types of fees through SBI MOPS using Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, or SBI Bank e-Challan.

CCMT 2022 Seat Allocation

The merit list for seat distribution would be created based on GATE scores. In the event that two or more applicants have the same score, the following factors will be considered:

  • Candidates who passed the GATE in 2019 will be given priority over those who passed in 2022.
  • In the case of two candidates with the same GATE qualification year, the candidate with the better GATE score out of 100 would be given preference.
  • If two candidates have the same GATE score out of 100 and the same year of passing GATE, preference would be given to the individual with the highest All India Rank (AIR).
  • If the marks out of 100, the years of passing the GATE, and the years of passing the AIR are, all the same, the Date of Birth will be used. Preference will be given to the candidate who is older.
  • If both the Date of Birth and the Age are the same, the rank will be determined by a random number generator.
  • According to the Government of India (GoI) Reservation guidelines, a seat assignment is based on the Merit List and the availability of seats as per filled Choices.

Documents Required for GATE CCMT Counselling

Candidates have to produce the following documents during reporting at any of the RC:

  • Printout of the registration form and the locked choices
  • Provisional Seat Allotment letter downloaded from the CCMT website
  • Self-attested copy of GATE scorecard (2019 or 2020 or 2022)
  • Photo ID proof as per Govt. of India norms
  • Original Birth certificate Class X (High School) Board Certificate as proof of date of birth
  • Original Mark sheet of Class XII
  • Original Grade/Mark sheets of the qualifying examination for all semesters
  • Original Degree certificate, if completed
  • Original Caste Certificate, if applicable
  • Original Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), if applicable
  • OBC-NCL/EWS certificate issued on or after April 1, 2020 will be accepted during online document verification. However, admission offered, if any, will be provisional, and subject to the submission of OBC-NCL/EWS certificate issued on or after April 1, 2022 at the time of physical reporting in the finally allotted Institute.
  • Proof of payment of Seat Acceptance fee
  • Three color passport size photographs
  • Original Conduct Certificate from the Head of the institution last attended
  • Original Transfer certificate from the Head of the institution last attended
