CEPT Entrance Exam 2022 Exam Pattern:

Depending on the course, the exam can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours.
The Exam Syllabus is varied for each degree, based on the abilities and information required for that course.  CEPT University administers the CEPT Entrance Exam (Centre for Environment Planning and Technology Entrance Exam). It is held for undergraduate and postgraduate entrance to courses in the fields of design, construction, and technology, among others.

CEPT Entrance Exam 2022 Exam Pattern Highlights

This year's CEPT 2022 Entrance Zone will be conducted entirely online. The exam contains a variety of question types, including both MCQ and subjective questions. The test does not have any negative markings. Depending on the course, the exam can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours.

CEPT Entrance Exam 2022 Exam Pattern

Exam patterns vary depending on the course. This exam, like all other entrance exams for design courses, is conducted online, and students must complete some creative writing and practical work in addition to multiple-choice questions. Below mentioned exam pattern is concerned with the bachelor's program.

Interior Design 

• The test will be divided into two sessions.
• Two examinations will be given in Session 1 on themes such as visual thinking, perception, color knowledge, and basic interior and design comprehension.
• Session 1 will last 4 hours in total, with each test lasting 2 hours and carrying 100 points.
• An exam on organizational principles, observation skills, common sense, and problem-solving will be given in Session 2.
• This will be a three-hour test.
• In the final selection, both sessions are given a combined weighting of 70%.

Urban Design 

• There will be a total of 100 questions on this test.
• The test will be provided to the applicants for two hours to finish.
• Visual Representation and Perception, Logical Reasoning and Basic Principles of Science, Communicative English and Verbal Reasoning, and Social and Cultural
• Awareness is the four areas of the test.
• The Visual Representation and Perception component of the test are weighted at 50%, Logical Reasoning and Basic Science is weighted at 20%, and the remaining two sections are each weighted at 15%.

Construction Technology 

• There will be 100 questions on this test.
• The test will be offered to candidates for a total of two hours to complete.
• Analytical Reasoning, English, Construction Awareness, and Drawing Skills will be the four portions of this test.
• Each section is supposed to be worth 25% of the total.

Urban Management 

• This course's entrance exam will comprise a written ability test.
• Candidates will be assigned a topic and will be required to prepare an essay on the topic that is between 300 and 500 words long.
• This test will last no more than 30 minutes.

Landscape Architecture & Master of Landscape Design

• This course's entrance exam will comprise a written ability test.
• Candidates will be assigned a topic and will be required to prepare an essay on the topic that is between 300 and 500 words long.
• This test will last no more than 30 minutes.

Technology (For All Specializations Available)

• This course's test will consist of 100 questions.
• Each question will be of the multiple-choice variety.
• The candidates will have two hours to finish the exam.
• Mathematical ability, analytical reasoning, and verbal ability are the three sections of this test.
• Mathematical Ability will contain 40 questions, and the remaining two parts will each include 30 questions.

CEPT 2022 Entrance Exam Day Instructions

For each course, the exam is held once a year. Candidates are encouraged to avoid making any mistakes that could result in them being ineligible to take the exam.

To avoid any problems on exam day, candidates are urged to follow the procedures stated below: -

• Candidates must arrive at least an hour before the examination begins.
• They must remember to bring their Admit Card and a valid photo ID to the exam.
• Candidates are required to bring items such as a pen, pencil, sketch pen, colours, and other materials. These will not be available at the exam location.
• The seat number of a candidate is determined by the application form number or the final five digits.
