TIET 2023 Application Form

TIET 2023 Application Form has been released by Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. Along with the form, candidates will also required to deposit the application fees of TIET 2023. Candidates who will be filling the application form can go through the mentioned below steps to know how to fill TIET B.Tech 2023 application form. However, before proceeding further, keep the following things ready with you :

• Scanned image of passport photograph of the candidate in prescribed format and dimension
• Scanned image of signature in prescribed format and the given dimension

Steps to fill TIET B.Tech Application Form 2023

The steps which need to be followed are :

• Step 1: Get Register- Candidates will have to register themselves by entering their details and programme they wish to apply for. After submitting all the details, create a new account option will appear. Click on it.
• Step 2: Generation of Username- ' Username’ and ‘password’ will be sent to the candidates registered email-id and mobile number. Make the password and continue.
• Step 3: Fill the Application Form- Enter personal, academic, qualifying exam and other required details along with the communication address.
• Step 4: Upload Photograph and Signature- Upload scanned images of photograph, signature, parent's signature and JEE Main admit card in the required format and dimension as prescribed.
• Step 5: Pay the Application Fees- Once uploaded the images, pay Rs 1500 as the application fee of TIET B.Tech 2021. The application fee can be paid either online or offline.

• In case of payment through DD candidates can draw it in the favour of "Thapar University", payable at Patiala.

TIET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

TIET Eligibility criteria 2023 can be checked below for the various courses. The detailed eligibility criteria for admission in Thapar University are given below:

• Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have passed in the intermediate level i.e.,(10+2) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board or University.
• Percentage: Candidates should have qualified to secure at least 60% marks (for general candidates) and for ST/SC candidates aggregate marks are 55% with subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• Entrance Exam: The candidates must attain the JEE Mains ≥ 72 marks. Those who have scored the JEE Main ≥ 48 marks have to get 80% marks in 10+2. SC/ST categories have to attain the JEE MAINS ≥ 30 securing 75% marks in 10+2 exams.
• Candidates applying for B.E/B. Tech Lateral Entry is required to qualify the LEET-TU securing minimum 20% marks (for general) in aggregate (15% for ST/SC).
• Candidates with a diploma degree in the respective fields can also apply.

• Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have passed their intermediate level exam(10+2) securing minimum aggregate marks of 60%. For ST/SC candidates are  – 55%
• Subjects: Candidates should have passed their 10+2 level with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
• Entrance Exam: Candidate should have secured aggregate marks of 20% in the NEET exam. For ST/SC candidates’ minimum aggregate marks to be secured in NEET is 15%.

• Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have secured an aggregate of 60% marks in BE/B.Tech with relevant specialization.
• Entrance Exam: Candidate should have a valid GATE scorecard.
• The candidate who qualified with 60% (ST/SC-55%)aggregate marks in GATE do not need to appear for the entrance test.

TIET 2023 Admit Card

TIET 2023 Admit Card will be available on the university website. Further information related to TIET Hall ticket is mentioned below:

• The admit card has all the necessary information, like – Name, Date, Venue of the exam, qualification.
• So the candidates should carry this while appearing for the exam.
• If candidates find anything wrong with the admit card, contact the admission branch in no time.
• The link of downloading admit card when they get released from the university authorities.

TIET 2023 Result

Thapar University Result 2023 will be released online. A different merit list will be prepared by the University for the candidates who are applying for admission based on GATE/NEET/JEE Mains scorecard.

• The merit list/result will be published in August 2021.
• Based on the merit list, students will be able to proceed for the counselling procedure further.

TIET 2023 Counselling

• Admissions will be offered to the candidates based on the availability of seats and merit in various institutions.
• The priority for admission will be given to the national level qualifiers.

Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology here on 19 January 2018, Friday signed a comprehensive institutional agreement with Israel"s Tel Aviv University (TAU), covering research, teaching and student exchange between both institutions. Both of them have agreed to establish a programme for academic cooperation, bring benefits of credit transfer programmes in engineering and life sciences and participation in the Israeli varsity"s summer programmes, post-doctoral fellowships and semester exchange opportunities.TIET and TAU will also work together in research fields. With over 100 research centres, TAU, consistently ranked in the top 20 in the world in terms of scientific citations and among the top 100 universities internationally, is known for ground-breaking research, leading researchers and faculty, strong interdisciplinary focus, and the values of globalism, pluralism and social responsibility. On signing the agreement, TAU President, Prof Joseph Klafter said: "Like Thapar University, we are strong in engineering and management and also have a wide spectrum of departments across the sciences, humanities and arts."TIET President Gautam Thapar said that the agreement will help in strategic international partnerships and enhance the quality and reach of the varsity. Klafter, who was the chief guest at the 31st convocation of TIET gave away degrees and medals to students at the function on Friday. A total of 1,731 degrees were awarded at the convocation, including 73 PhD degrees, 693 Masters in Engineering, Sciences, Humanities and Management and 961 Bachelor"s degrees in Engineering. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, founded in 1956, is housed in a 250-acre campus in Patiala, about 70 km from Chandigarh.
