TIET or Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology 2022 registration has begun. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) will be held in Patiala by the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. The TIET is held once a year to grant admission to applicants for UG, PG, and PhD programmes. Following the qualifying exam, admission is based on national-level test scores or a merit list. Candidates who want to take the exam must fill out an
application form, but before they do so, they must check the eligibility criteria to see if they are eligible for the exam. Candidates who do not meet the eligibility requirements will be automatically disqualified. Candidates can read the entire article to learn more about the

TIET 2022 Eligibility Criteria
The TIET Eligibility Criteria 2022 for the various courses can be found here. The following are the detailed eligibility criteria for admission to Thapar University:
For B.Tech Course
- Qualification Exam: The candidate must have passed the intermediate level (10+2) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board or university.
- Percentage: Candidates must have obtained at least 60% (for general candidates) and 55% (for ST/SC candidates) aggregate marks in the courses of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Entrance Exam: Candidates must score 72 points on the JEE Mains. Those who received 48 points on the JEE Main must obtain 80 percent on the 10+2 exam. SC/ST students must obtain the JEE MAINS 30 by achieving 75% in their 10+2 examinations.
- Candidates applying for B.E/B. Tech Lateral Entry must pass the LEET-TU with a minimum of 20% (for general) in aggregate (15% for ST/SC).
- Candidates with a diploma degree in the relevant subjects are also eligible to apply.
For B.Tech (Biotechnology)
- Qualifying Test: The candidate must have passed their intermediate level exam (10+2) with a minimum aggregate mark of 60%. For ST/SC candidates, the figure is - 55%.
- Subjects: Candidates must have completed their 10+2 level with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Entrance Exam: The candidate must have obtained a total score of 20 percent on the NEET exam. The minimum aggregate marks required for ST/SC applicants in NEET are 15%.
M.Tech/ME
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have a minimum of 60% in their BE/B.Tech with a suitable specialty.
- Entrance Exam: A valid GATE scorecard is required.
- Candidates who received 60 percent (ST/SC-55 percent) aggregate marks in GATE do not need to take the admission exam.

- Exam time: 2 hours
- Question Paper Type: Multiple Choice Questions
- Total Marks: 90
- Negative Marking: Yes, there is negative marking.
TIET 2022 Admit Card
The TIET 2022 Admit Card will be posted on the university's website. More information on TIET Hall Ticket can be found below:
- The admit card contains all of the relevant information, such as your name, exam date, location, and qualification.
- As a result, candidates should bring this with them when taking the exam.
- If candidates discover any errors on their admit card, they should immediately contact the admissions office.
- When the university authorities release the URL for downloading admit cards, we will post it here.
TIET 2022 Result
The TIET Result 2022 will be available online. The University will create a separate merit list for individuals applying for admission based on their GATE/NEET/JEE Mains scorecard.
- In August 2021, the merit list/result will be announced.
- Students will be eligible to proceed with the counselling procedure based on the merit list.
