UPSC ESE 2023 Exam Pattern: Mode, Duration, Questions Type, Marking Scheme

UPSC ESE 2023 Exam Pattern will be released by the Union Public Service Commission. The exam will be held in two phases - Preliminary and Main. The exam will be conducted according to the following - Stage‐I: Engineering Services (Preliminary/Stage‐I) Examination (Objective Type Papers) for the selection of candidates, for the Stage‐II: Engineering Services (Main/Stage‐II) Examination; Stage‐II: Engineering Services (Main/Stage‐II) Examination (Conventional Type Papers) and Stage‐III : Personality Test. Candidates must have all the relevant information related to the UPSC ESE 2023 exam pattern so that they are well aware of the structure of the question paper. UPSC ESE 2023 Preliminary/Stage‐I (MCQ )

UPSC ESE 2023 Stage‐III(Personality Test)
The Perswonality tets will of 200 Marks in total. Those who will qualify for both stages 1 & 2 will only be eligible for the Personality Test. In the Personality Test special attention will be paid to assessing the candidate’s capacity for leadership, initiative and intellectual curiosity, tact and other social qualities, mental and physical energy, powers of practical application, and integrity of character.
