CENTAC 2022 Eligibility: The online registration process for CENTAC 2022 will begin in the third week of May 2022. The Centralized Admission Committee, Puducherry, conducts a state-level admission procedure known as CENTAC. This state-level admission process will be regulated to shortlist individuals for admission to various engineering, pharmacy, and medical programmes. Based on their merit and results on national level tests, candidates will be shortlisted for admission. Shortlisted candidates from the admissions process will be able to enrol in a variety of courses provided by both public and private universities within the state. Eligibility for CENTAC 2022
Before completing the online Application form, applicants must ensure that they match the required eligibility conditions. The online application form is only available to individuals who are eligible. Applicants must check the following CENTAC 2022 Eligibility Criteria for all courses and streams to determine their eligibility:
Eligibility in General
- Nationality: All Indian nationals are eligible to apply for CENTAC.
- Domicile Certificate: Applicants from the Union Territory of Puducherry must obtain a domicile certificate.
- Criteria for Age: The maximum age for each course varies. The BAMS course has a minimum age requirement of 17 years old (as of October 1, 2022). The B.Tech course has a maximum age limit of 21 years old (as of July 1, 2022). SC applicants will be granted a three-year extension.
For M.B.B.S./B.D.S. Courses
Those who are interested in enrolling in these various programmes must first pass the HSC examination from a recognised board.
Students must obtain a minimum of 50% in aggregate in the specified disciplines of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Biotechnology, Botany, and Zoology (40 percent for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/SC candidates).
Candidates should also be required to study English and pass it with flying colours.
For B.Tech. programmes, the following are the requirements
- Candidates must have completed the 10+2 Intermediate or equivalent examination from a recognised board.
- In the qualifying test, candidates must take Physics and Mathematics as obligatory topics.
- Marks: To be eligible for the examination, candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45 percent (40 percent for reserved candidates).
- Candidates who appear in the final test will be eligible for the examination as well.
For B.P.T. Course
- Candidates pursuing B.PT Degree programmes must pass an H.Sc. (Academic) test administered by the Tamil Nadu Board of Higher Secondary Examinations or an equivalent examination.
- In the prescribed disciplines of Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, or Botany and Zoology, candidates must receive a minimum of 50% (40 percent for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate.
- Candidates should also be required to study English and pass it with flying colours.
For B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course
- Those interested in the B.Sc. (Nursing) degree programme must pass the H.Sc. (Academic) examination administered by the Tamil Nadu Board of Higher Secondary Examinations or an equivalent examination.
- A minimum of 45 percent in aggregate (40 percent for SC/ST candidates) in the compulsory courses of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany, and Zoology is required. Candidates should also be required to study English and pass it with flying colours.
For Degree Program in B.Sc. (MLT)
- To be admitted to the B.Sc (MLT) degree programme, candidates must pass the H.Sc (Academic/Vocational) test administered by the Tamil Nadu Board of Higher Secondary Examination.
- Candidates must also score at least 50% (40 percent for BCM/ OBC/MBC/ BT/ EBC/SC).
For B. Pharm Course
- Applicants must have completed the 10+2 or an equivalent test from a recognised board.
- Topics: Applicants must have completed class 10+ 2 with Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects, as well as one of the following: Mathematics, Biotechnology, Biology, or Computer Science.
- Minimum Scores: Applicants in the unreserved category must achieve a minimum score of 45 percent (40 percent marks for reserved category applicants).
- Attempts: There is no limit to how many times you can apply for the B.Pharma. programme.
For Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) Course
- Exam to qualify: Applicants must have completed the 10+2 or an equivalent test from a recognised board.
- Subjects: Applicants must have completed class 10+ 2 with Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and English as individual subjects.
- Minimum Marks: Applicants should secure at least 50% marks for the unreserved category applicants, 45% marks for BCM/OBC/EBC/MBC/OPH & 40% marks for ST/SC/OPH.
- Attempts: Applicants are only allowed to apply once.
