KVPY 2019 Interview are likely to be held from 15 January 2020 to 25 February 2020. However, candidates will be notified through email/ website about the venue/dates and timings of the interview to each candidate. KVPY is also known as Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana 2019 was established by Government of India in 1999 and it is a national level fellowship program. The selected candidates of pre-Ph.D level are provided scholarships through this Yojana.

KVPY is an entrance test organized by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore at the national level to select the eligible candidates through the Aptitude Test and Interview. The selected candidates are awarded the scholarships who can then pursue their career in the field of Research Science.

 The Indian Institute of Science is situated in Bangalore and has set up a Management Committee as well as a National Advisory Committee (NAC) for checking out the implementation of this Yojana. KVPY 2019 Application Form 

The candidates can fill the KVPY 2019 Registration Form online by filling in the details given in the form. The students can follow the instructions given below to fill the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) exam Application Form:

  • The students need to follow the given steps to complete the Application Process: Completion of the registration process, filling the details asked in the Application Form, Uploading the documents, making exam preference and paying the Application Fees.
  • The candidates need to have all the important documents (scanned images) mentioned below when they come for submitting the Application Form: 
  • Photograph
  • Signature  
  • Caste/ Medical certificate (only for PWD)
  • The students can fill the Application Form online and submit it on the official website.
  • The students are advised to take out a printout of the application form and keep it carefully for further use.

KVPY 2019 Application Fee

  • The general candidates need to pay an amount of Rs. 1000/- and ST/SC/PWD category students need to pay Rs.500/- as Registration Fees.
  • The Application Fees can be deposited through both the modes Online (Debit card/Credit card/ Internet Banking) and Offline (Challan).
  • The Application Fee is Non-Refundable.

KVPY 2019 Admit Card

Candidates can check details related to KVPY Admit card 2019 through the below given details: 

  • The KVPY 2019 Admit Card will be released in the second week of October 2019 on the official website.
  • The candidates need to carry their admit cards and id proof with them on the exam day.
  • The candidates need to enter their application number to download their admit card.
  • The Admit card will have all the important details regarding the KVPY exam such as Date of Exam, Venue, Exam Instructions etc.
  • Applicants without admit card will not be eligible to give the exam.

  • The board would also be conducting the mock tests to make candidates familiar with the exam pattern.

KVPY 2019 Preparation Tips

KVPY 2019 Cutoff

KVPY Cutoff 2019 has been released by the IISc Bangalore. Candidates have to score the minimum cutoff to qualify the exam. The KVPY cutoff/rank is given below:

  • SC/ST - 32 marks out of 100
  • PWD - 32 marks out of 100

  • GN and OBC - 49 marks out of 100
