SSC CGL 2023 Exam Pattern has been decided by the State Selection Commission(SSC). SSC will conduct CGL in four tiers i.e Tier-1, Tier-2, Tier-3, and Tier-4. Tier-1 and Tier-2 exam will be conducted in online mode, Tier-3 will be a pen and paper-based test and Tier-4 will be a computer skilled test. Marking Scheme:
- For every right answer, a candidate will be awarded +2 marks.

Marking Scheme:
- For every right answer, the candidate will be awarded 2 marks in papers 1,3, and 4 and 1 mark will be rewarded in paper 2.
- For every wrong answer, 0.5 marks will be deducted from a candidate's total score in papers 1,3, and 4 and a 0.25 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer in paper 2.

- There is no negative marking in the Tier-3 exam.
SSC CGL 2023 Exam Pattern for Tier-4 (Skill Test)
The skill test or the Tier-4 exam is conducted for the posts of Tax Assistants (Central Excise and Income Tax). In this stage of the selection process, a typing test will be conducted. to clear the test, candidates have to maintain the typing speed in Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) at about eight thousand Key Depression per hour on Computer. All aspirants will be given a passage of about two thousand words to be written within 15 minutes. The skill test is qualifying in nature. Candidates will be notified about the test date, timings, and exam center of the skill test through their admit card or call letter.
