What is the tie-break criteria in SSC CGL?
In case of a tie in combined aggregate score (in tier-I, -II and -III exams) of two or more candidates, the following criteria is adopted to create the merit list until the tie is resolved:
- Total marks of a candidate in tier-II exam
- Total marks of a candidate in tier-III exam
- Total marks of a candidate in tier-I exam
- Date of birth, with older candidate placed higher
- Alphabetical order in which the first names of the candidates appear
SSC CGL Previous Cutoff
The SSC CGL cutoff is the minimum marks that candidates need to secure in order to qualify for each stage of the exam. The cutoff is released after completion of each stage/tier and is determined on the basis of factors such as:
