GATE Counselling 2023 is the process of admission to M.Tech. and M.E. programs at various IITs and NITs colleges based on the GATE 2023 scores. The counselling is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). For admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and CFTIs, GATE 2023 will be performed by two different bodies: the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) and the Centralised Counselling for MTech (CCMT). GATE does not have a centralised counselling mechanism. Candidates who pass the exam are eligible to participate in the admissions counselling process administered by these two different authorities. The following is a basic summary of the situation:
- COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) will provide admissions counselling for MTech courses offered by IITs. IIT Bombay has released the COAP 2023 counselling schedule. It has been updated under the Dates section of this page.
- CCMT (Centralised Counselling for MTech): CCMT is a process for getting into MTech programmes at NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
GATE 2023 Counselling Schedule and Seat Allotment Updates
Based on the
GATE 2023 Results, state and private universities will perform their own counselling. COAP is not a website for applying to IITs for MTech admission. Candidates must complete the online registration process for the particular institute based on their preference and exam rank in addition to registering on COAP's website. For MTech admissions, the GATE organising organisation will not conduct any counselling or seat allotment process. Following the announcement of the results, participating institutes will announce their admission cut-offs. Candidates that meet the
GATE 2023 Cut Off can participate in the counselling procedure, which is handled by separate bodies based on their college and field of study preferences.
